The property encompasses 15 acres with a historically significant two-story log house constructed in 1799, along with eight contributing outbuildings. We strive to maintain the agricultural and historical integrity of the Linkous-Kipps property while making it a functional asset for the Blacksburg community.
Preservation of Blacksburg History
We are committed to preserving the rural and historical character of the Linkous-Kipps Historical House. House tours are available to explore the log cabin interior and ties to the Linkous and Kipps families.
Educational Programming
Educational programming opportunities to promote awareness of open space preservation, the importance of agricultural traditions, and raise awareness of the property’s connection to local Blacksburg and New River Valley history.
